The short version

9 km from Turramurra, about 15 minutes to drive, largely on Ryde Road. We are open seven days, so the trip fits around work and school, and you can book online or phone 02 9888 1833.

What Turramurra families find worth the drive

We know Turramurra is a real drive, so here is what makes it worthwhile. Vaccinations, dentistry, desexing and orthopaedic surgery including cruciate repair all happen here, and X-ray, ultrasound and the theatre are on the premises, so a visit that starts as a question can usually continue as an answer, in one building and one trip.

The second reason is the group behind us. The services listed further down are done at one of our sister sites and arranged by your vet here, which means a family in Turramurra registers once and has all of it within reach, with a vet who can say honestly whether any of it is needed because they work alongside the people who do it.

Where Turramurra dogs get their exercise

Two that Turramurra owners tend to walk are Turramurra Village Park and The Lookout. Also close by: Claude Cameron Grove, Grannys Springs, Halfpenny Park, Boyds Orchard Park.

Claude Cameron Grove carries an off-lead tag in the mapping data. Council hours shift about, so it pays to confirm with yours before unclipping.

Grass seeds are worth knowing about through spring and summer. They travel into a paw pad or down an ear canal and cause far more trouble left for a week than caught on the night, so a paw being licked or an ear being shaken is a good reason to let us have a look.

In their words

My medium-sized dog required cruciate ligament surgery, so I needed to find a veterinary practice to perform the procedure. I feel very fortunate to have found Macquarie Veterinary Hospital. From my first phone call with Ella, to a consultation with the orthopaedic surgeon Matt, through the surgery, and now during recovery, my dog has been very carefully cared for, and I have been completely informed and educated throughout the process. Dr. Matt provided a comprehensive plan for a TPLO, complete with diagrams, and the cost was a very reasonable fixed price. The vet nurses are absolutely nuts about mutts, and it felt wonderful knowing that my girl was with such loving people. Thank you all.
